Anna Silk
Anna Silk was born in January 1974. Her most popular role is Bo, from Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Peter Silk who was an actor as well as a producer, director, playwright, educator, and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna is able to recall her first experiences when she was at rehearsals for play together with her mother. Silk was a part of numerous commercials for children. She completed her studies at St. Thomas University with an Associate of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in at least two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved in Toronto to pursue her acting career in order to improve, before moving she moved to Los Angeles California. Silk met her spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an Actor's workshop held in Los Angeles in 2007. They were engaged in 2009, and were married in a civil ceremony in the month of December in that same year. They renewed their vows on April 10th 2011 at Fredericton at the tradition of a Jewish wedding ceremony following Silk's converted to Judaism. Silk Cooperman gave birth to her son Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May of 2013. Levi Aaron, her second baby was born on May 13, in 2016. Silk's TV work is centered around the character Cassidy Holland in Being Erica in which she was awarded an Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009 Silk was a part of the main Bo Dennis in the series Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk made it known to her fans that she was pregnant in January 2013 at a Showcase Season Three Special. Silk posted on Twitter on June 20, 2013 to announce that she is ready to resume working. The 4th of June 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially revealed the launch of production for the fourth season. Silk's portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender on Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top TV Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top TV Couple of 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Silk is a huge social media following, including Facebook and Twitter as a direct result of its success.
